CAR BATTERIES DUMBARTON

Vehicle Battery Check & Battery Fitting Service

At S1 Auto Services we offer a battery life check. This will determine the condition and lifespan of your battery. Some people have the opinion that if your battery is flat then this automatically needs to be replaced. This is not always the case.

Identifying the Fault

Having a flat battery doesn’t mean that it needs to be replaced. You should always find the cause of the flat battery before replacing the unit. Before changing a battery we always check for any other possible faults which may have caused the battery to drain power. Once we have identified the cause we will fix the problem then recheck the battery. If a batteries lifespan is over a new battery will be required.

Three Year Guarantee

As we hold a stock of batteries in the workshop, we are able to supply and fit these when needed. All batteries come with a 3-year guarantee. We will recycle your old battery on your behalf.

Very honest, quick and reliable service

Was new to the area and looking for somewhere to MOT my car. Called and was told just to bring it along and they had a look at it and called me without delay. The car fortunately passed and Stan also recommend things on my car that where worrying and that would need checked before the next MOT. Very honest, quick and reliable service. Would definitely use again and recommend.

Staff were all friendly and the process was straightforward

Excellent service from Stan. Car broke down and he was able to pick us up and drop us home no bother, and with minimal delay. We were kept informed and Stan even looked in to the manufacturer covering the cost of the repair (as it was a known issue). Staff were all friendly and the process was straightforward. I will certainly be using this garage again whenever the need arises. Thanks again to Stan, Caroline and the team.

We thank Stan for going above and beyond to help us

We broke down on our way to Oban in the works van, we called at 0830 on a Saturday of a bank holiday to see if they could recover us,look at and fix the van. Stan came out to us within 30mins took the van and said hed call us. He called back about 2 hrs later telling us what was wrong and that he ordered the parts and they would be delivered about 1230 ish, even through they closed at 1230 he would stay and do the job or we would be stuck till Tuesday. We thank Stan for going above and beyond to help us and get us back in the road excellent service would definitely recommend this garages.

The price was good value for money

I phoned this garage to ask for a camshaft pulley to be fitted at short notice and they were very accommodating. By the time the car was taken to the garage in the evening the battery was weak; not only did they fit and test the part, they also charged the battery and the car was good to go the following morning. The receptionist was extremely helpful and cheerful and the mechanic worked well above and beyond what has unfortunately become the norm elsewhere. The price was given prior to the work commencing and was good value for money... I would have no delay in recommending this garage to anyone.
