WRONG FUEL DUMBARTON

We will recover your vehicle, drain the wrong fuel from the tank and engine, flush the engine removing all contaminated fuel and finally install a new fuel filter to the car.
DO NOT START THE VEHICLE
It is essential that you do not start the vehicle! Starting the car will make the contaminated fuel flow from the fuel tank up the fuel pipes into the engine and injectors, causing further problems.
If you have already started the car do not panic, just turn the vehicle off and wait for our mechanic and wrong fuel technician to arrive.
OUR WRONG FUEL RECOVERY PROCESS
Some more information related to how we deal with a vehicle that is contaminated with the wrong fuel. Please read the following information to understand what needs to be done to make the vehicle drivable again.
Recovery
Firstly don't start the car. We come to you at your location and uplift the vehicle using our breakdown and recovery lorry then we'll take it to our workshop in Dumbarton.
Drain
The vehicle is put onto the ramp and the wrong fuel is drained from the fuel tank. We prepare the tank and engine for the flushing procedure.
Flush
We then flush the system. This travels throughout the fuel pipes, injectors to the tank and back through to the engine. This process cleans and removes any contaminated fuel that was left after the fuel drain process.
New Fuel Filter
We remove the old contaminated fuel filter and install a brand new fuel filter. This is something that we do that most roadside fuel recovery companies don't offer.
In our opinion, as fully qualified mechanics with over 35 years experience, this needs to be done in order to assure the process has been done to our high standards.
New Fuel
Upon completion of the above procedures, we add £20 of the correct fuel to the vehicle in order to start the car and get you back on the road again.
